Position: Manufacturing Team Leader – Night Shift
Location: Ifor Williams Trailers, Zone Two, Deeside Industrial Park, CH5 2NR
Salary: £46,500 per annum

From builders to tree surgeons, our Flatbed, Tipper and General Duty trailers are used across a huge variety of industries. Our range of Car Transporter trailers is used by rally drivers and garage owners, while our Box Vans are increasingly popular with coach and bus firms, market traders, hot air balloonists, scout troops and trades people who convert the interior into mobile workshops.
As Team Leader on the night shift at our Deeside site, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the production team involved in the assembling our plant-based trailers, Tippers, and Flatbeds.
You will ensure that all operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining production targets and delivery schedules.
Through effective leadership, communication, and continuous improvement, you will promote a positive working environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence across all manufacturing activities.
This role is Monday – Thursday 6pm – 6am and reports into the Production Site Manager.
Team Leader Responsibilities:
* Uphold safety standards to ensure that the workplace is free of hazards whilst ensuring all employees work in a manner that protects both themselves and their colleague’s safety.
* To manage the people and activities of the area of responsibility ensuring company standards, values and procedures are adhered to at all times.
* To control operational costs through efficient utilisation of materials, people and capital.
* Identify and eliminate waste to ensure that processes are the most cost effective they can be.
* To develop, implement, maintain and communicate metrics and key performance indicators that accurately reflect the performance of the area.
* To act on results that are outside of acceptable set targets and resolve in a timely manner using a structured approach.
* To promote a Right First Time culture that does not pass faults forward to the next process or customer.
* Be a Change Agent and overcome resistance and poor practice to implement and sustain change.
* Measure, report and present the effects of change.
* Deliver actions and objectives agreed within the site Action Plan.

* A willingness to undertake any other reasonable duties, not listed within these terms of reference in order to meet the needs of the business on a consistent and ongoing basis.
