We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant/Cook. Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications
* Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
* Assist in meal preparation and presentation for service
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods
* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
* Provide excellent service when serving meals to customers
* Provide a friendly face when taking orders on the cash register
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant/Cafe setting
* Adequate skills with an eye for detail in meal presentation
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
* Previous kitchen or culinary experience is highly desirable
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
