Job overview
**Harefield hospital**
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist to expand their skills and knowledge in both invasive and non-invasive cardiology.
The Cardiac Department provides a wide range of diagnostic procedures including:
* All non-invasive testing
* Transplant and VAD assessments, including CPEX testing.
The successful candidate will initially work directly under supervision in the non-invasive and transplant sections of the department. Thereafter, following internal sign‑off against competencies, will work independently or as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
A period of supervised training, assessment and competencies before undertaking autonomous performance of:
* Non-invasive and transplant cardiology testing and reporting.
* Ward and theatre based testing and reporting.

Person specification
Knowledge/Qualifications
* Has already graduated from or is about to graduate from an approved undergraduate programme: BSc Healthcare Science (Cardiac Physiology) or BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiac Physiology)
* Has achieved ILS (immediate life support) through the NHS or University
Experience
* Experience of working with people in the NHS
Skills
* Can demonstrate when to elevate findings and call for help
