Role Overview
Consulting Director, Finance & Enterprise Value Practice – Lead one of the two Finance & CFO Advisory Work Areas: Strategic Finance Delivery or Finance Transformations. Based in Manchester with flexible assignment locations.
Responsibilities
* Own end-to-end vision and execution in your domain, including practice development, delivery excellence & operations, people, and wider leadership.
* Build and develop a high-performing team, drive skills growth, coaching, and consultant career progression.
* Contribute to the leadership of the Enterprise Model & Strategy Team and collaborate across Capgemini to deliver integrated solutions and client outcomes.
* Lead business development activities: proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, and client hosting at events.
* Contribute to internal initiatives: campaign development, think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development, recruitment, team events & activities, offering development.
* Support learning & development: training, certifications, and career development activities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Domain expertise: proven experience working with C-level executives in consulting, across at least two target industries (Public Sector, Energy Transition & Utilities, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Automotive & Life Sciences, or Technology, Media, Telecoms & Services).
* For Strategic Finance: proven experience designing actionable finance strategy, target operating models, and performance architectures that link strategy to measurable outcomes.
* For Finance Operations & Performance: expert knowledge of performance improvement techniques and the finance value chain, mastery of at least two core processes (O2C, P2P, R2R, FP&A, T2F, Treasury), and experience shaping and leading cost performance programmes.
* Business development: ability to generate approximately £2 m of consulting revenues as a director and build client relationships through a combination of existing relationships, company relationships, and personal network.
* Consulting experience: currently working in a major consulting firm or industry with a substantial consulting background; proven ability to succeed in a matrixed organization and to enlist support from peers.
* Leadership & people development: track record of building and developing high-performing teams, coaching talent, and fostering a culture of growth and inclusion.
* Professional qualification: fully qualified UK Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical grounding and ability to formulate strategy and translate into actionable solutions.
