Role Overview
As the Test Technician you will be responsible for all testing activities, both CDS (Custom Design Solutions) and Partner Development Projects on our Toughbook products.
Our Toughbook’s are a range of rugged laptops and tablets designed and engineered to perform in the toughest conditions which we are proud to be market leaders in.
You will be required to use and maintain technical equipment to complete Toughbook testing on both in-house designs and partner solutions.
How you will become part of the bigger picture...
As part of our team, you will:
1. Use technical equipment to test products to ensure performance, compliance, and consumer safety:
- Run environmental tests (High, low, and Shock temperature tests; Humidity tests; etc.)
- Run mechanical tests (Vibration, Drop, Shock, cycle Tests, etc.)
- Run electrical tests (EMC, EMI, Etc.)
2. Record and interpret test results
3. Co-ordinate with external test partners when required
4. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment and systems.
5. Set up Part and Model Numbers
6. Shipping of items as required
7. Occasional support of Production (building units, etc)
8. Continuously grow and focus on personal development using the Panasonic Leadership Principles
What you will bring to the picture..
9. Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing/engineering environment with a minimum of 1 years past experience (desired)
10. Excellent attention to detail
11. Experience of using basic Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
12. Ability to deliver accurate and articulate technical reports
13. Excellent communication skills whilst dealing with a wide variety of people, including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and management.
14. Full drivers licence required.
What would give you the edge…
15. Familiarity with automated production machinery and performing equipment testing on them
16. Previous experience with technical reporting in a product testing environment
17. Knowledge of Toughbook products and the accompanying ecosystem
18. High self-motivation, optimism and determination to succeed
19. A high degree of judgment and problem-solving capability
