Client Secretariat Administrator Intro

We have a great opportunity for a Client Secretariat Administrator to join our Client Secretariat team, on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, in our Darlington office (hybrid-based).

The role

Within this role, you’ll help to deliver high-quality service to Trustees, Pensions Committee members, third-party groups of Trustees, and other stakeholders, whilst adhering to best practice corporate governance.

You’ll be accountable for coordinating and managing meeting papers, reviewing casework submissions, logistical arrangements, assisting with the production of meeting minutes, and overseeing election and balloting procedures for committees. You’ll also assist with facilitating Trustee Knowledge and Understanding (TKU) Training for Committee members, maintaining databases, and collating statistics to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Railways Pensions Committees, Management Committees, and the Trustee Board.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.


The person

We’re looking for someone with a good level of computer literacy and competence in MS Office packages (including Word, Excel, and Outlook). You should have some experience in producing written documents and working to meet deadlines or SLAs.

You should be passionate about doing a good job, focused on providing high-quality outputs, and taking ownership and accountability for your work. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders of all levels and resolve issues.

You will need to be flexible and collaborative with your colleagues, enabling the team to deliver on challenging deadlines when required.
