Occupational Therapist – Hospital Team £36 per hour Hackney Council – Hybrid (2 days a week community-based) Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the dynamic Hackney Occupational Therapy and Sensory Service within their Hospital Team. This hybrid role offers the chance to make a real difference in residents’ lives while enjoying the flexibility of part-office, part-community working. Role Overview You will deliver outstanding occupational therapy interventions to promote independence in daily living activities, working in a co-productive way to ensure residents have choice and control over their care. This is a varied and rewarding role within a supportive multidisciplinary team. What We’re Looking For: HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist with experience in adult services Clinical Experience: Proven background in hospital or social care settings Assessment Skills: Ability to carry out functional assessments and identify needs Care Act Knowledge: Skilled in completing Care Act reviews, with a strong understanding of the Care Act 2014 Legislation Awareness: Knowledge of safeguarding principles, the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), and related frameworks Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with patients, families, and colleagues Problem-Solving: Creative approach to tailoring interventions to meet individual needs Empathy: Compassionate, person-centred care approach Teamwork: Collaborative working within a multidisciplinary environment Organisation: Strong time management skills to manage a busy caseload effectively Key Responsibilities: Provide holistic OT assessments and interventions to support patient independence Carry out Care Act reviews and ensure compliance with relevant legislation Work closely with patients, families, and the wider health and social care team Use evidence-based practice to develop and deliver tailored care plans Support safe discharges from hospital to community settings Apply Now: If you have the skills, experience, and passion to excel in this role, send your CV to Freya.joseph@pprsocialcare.co.uk today.
