Exciting Opportunity for NEC Project Manager & Supervisor
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an NEC Project Manager & Supervisor to join a long-term infrastructure delivery programme in the North of England. This role supports two public realm and civil engineering schemes, collectively valued at £30 million, over a 30-month period.
One scheme involves supervising an external contractor with a dedicated full-time on-site Supervisor and a full-time Project Manager, maintaining a strong but flexible site presence. The other scheme involves full-time on-site duties where the same professional assumes both NEC Project Manager and Supervisor responsibilities, with delivery managed by an internal team.
Main duties of the NEC Project Manager & Supervisor:
* Fulfil NEC Project Manager and NEC Supervisor responsibilities in accordance with NEC3/NEC4 contracts
* Oversee project delivery ensuring compliance with time, cost, and quality objectives
* Maintain a visible and consistent presence on site to monitor progress and contractor performance
* Issue instructions, assess compensation events, and manage early warnings
* Ensure thorough documentation, reporting, and contract compliance at all stages
* Liaise with contractors, internal teams, and stakeholders for coordinated delivery
* Uphold health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across both schemes
Key experience required:
* Experience in NEC Project Manager and/or Supervisor roles on public realm or civil engineering schemes
* Applying NEC3 or NEC4 forms of contract in client or contractor environments
* Strong understanding of construction programme management, contract administration, and site supervision
* Ability to travel to and attend sites regularly, including full-time on-site presence where necessary
* Effective communication and coordination with multiple stakeholders
* Experience with local authority or public sector civil infrastructure projects
* Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management, or related fields
