A large, oversubscribed secondary school in Manchester city centre is seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior School Administrator to join its established operations team from January 2026. This is a school where systems matter. The administrative function is respected, well-embedded and central to the school’s success. The Senior Administrator works closely with senior leaders, pastoral teams and external agencies to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school and to maintain the calm, purposeful environment for which the school is known. The Role This is a senior, varied post requiring excellent organisation, judgement and discretion. You will act as a key operational link across the school, supporting leadership while overseeing essential administrative processes. Key responsibilities include: Managing front-office operations and setting professional standards for communication Overseeing student records, admissions data and attendance systems Coordinating administrative processes linked to safeguarding and compliance Supporting senior leaders with documentation, reporting and scheduling Line-managing administrative staff and supporting their professional development Acting as a first point of contact for parents, visitors and external partners The School Environment The school operates with clear routines, strong leadership visibility and well-established systems.
