We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our EU Food Safety and Compliance team as a Food Regulatory Manager. This position will focus on supporting all regulatory aspects relating to the launch of new own label food products for Amazon own label products, and supporting all regulatory aspects relating to the launch of new Amazon sites. The individual will bring experience and knowledge of a number of food categories, to the team and support private label regulatory decisions. This role requires in-depth knowledge and expertise in EU food regulation. The individual will work directly with suppliers and internal cross-functional stakeholders to facilitate successful product and site launches. The individual must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills, a high bar for quality, strong customer obsession, and a track record of operating in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced start up environment. Key job responsibilities - Work with the team to ensure the product selection meets EU regulatory requirements - Work with manufacturing partners to ensure products have the correct regulatory and technical documentation - Manage the registration and certification requirements to support new site launch - Work with operational teams to ensure ongoing compliance to Amazon expectations - Keep abreast of new and upcoming EU regulation and emerging issues in food safety - Support the wider food safety team by contributing to shared process and policy development - Continuously identify and communicate improvement opportunities - Leverage technology to manage compliance processes Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent - Experience handling confidential information - Experience interacting with local food safety regulators Preferred Qualifications - Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials - Experience with SQL and Excel - Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
