About the role
The UCL School of Management is hiring a research assistant to support Finance, Accounting, and Economics projects. Working alongside another predoctoral assistant, the postholder will assist academics with data analysis, economic modelling, experiments, and presentation preparation, gaining broad exposure to the field of finance.
The post will initially be offered for 12 months starting from September until August, with the intent to extend this for a further 12 months thereafter if the postholder has successfully met the requirements of the role.
Salary Details: UCL Grade 6 £35, to £41, per annum (including London Allowance)

The successful candidate will hold an MSc in a relevant discipline such as social science, economics, engineering, statistics, or computer science. They will possess programming skills in at least one language, with experience in MATLAB and STATA considered desirable but not essential. Strong mathematical training is essential, particularly the ability to understand and verify mathematical proofs. A clear motivation to pursue a PhD or an academic career in finance or economics is also required.
