Assistant Commercial Manager Location: East Croydon (Hybrid: 2–3 days on-site, remainder remote; within 2 hours of East Croydon Station) Contract: 3 months initially Pay: £361.17 via umbrella Overview: We are looking for an Assistant Commercial Manager to support procurement across tram infrastructure, including civils, power, and track. The role covers pre- and post-contract procurement, stakeholder engagement, and governance compliance. Key Responsibilities: Deliver compliant procurement services and maintain accurate records. Assist with contract reviews, negotiations, and change requests. Plan and manage procurement exercises collaboratively using digital tools. Support operational continuity, including urgent infrastructure procurement. Essential Skills & Experience: Qualified or part-qualified CIPS / RICS or equivalent. Experience in pre- and post-contract procurement. Knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and procurement governance. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and prioritisation skills. Desirable: Experience with SAP Ariba / SAP R3 and e-tendering portals. Transport, infrastructure, or civil engineering sector experience.
