About you:
* Educated to college level (A-Level/Diploma)
* Experience with a fast-paced environment within a small team would be beneficial
* Engineering exposure/interest would be beneficial but not required
* Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret requirements from a practical standpoint.
* Proficient in all Microsoft packages, including MS Project.
* A self-starter who can work independently and effectively under minimal supervision.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The role will include liaising with project managers and engineers on assisting in the amendment and improvement of project specific documentation and processes, requests will be led and authorised by the engineers/managers with data updates to be actioned through their requests. This will likely be through the update of work instruction manuals and other manufacturing documentation, engineering change request and potentially shop floor administrative support. There will be a level of requirement to interrogate customer drawings and CAD models, problem-solving and integrating within other departments.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting project managers/engineers with the documentation changes and updates to further improve manufacturing processes.
* Helping understand the requirements of cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance to aid development of paperwork.
* Updates will include work instructions, check sheets, BOM’s and inspection documentation.
* Working with an MRP system to maintain BoMs and Routings.
* Assisting in the engineering change process and associated documentation requirements led by project engineers/managers.
* Monitoring and evaluating snag lists, lessons learned and daily boards to further assist project engineers/managers further improve production processes.
* Reviewing/querying engineering drawings and CAD models and cross referencing to manufacturing documentation.
* Using CAD software – Catia/Spinfire to interrogate and produce imagery to aid manufacturing
* Fulfilling any training programme deemed necessary to allow the efficient performance of duties and development of personal performance.
* Full compliance with all QA, E,H&S policies, procedures and processes.
* Ensuring employees, visitors and contractors observe health and safety measures, including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Ensuring that the function operates in accordance with any health and safety, Quality and environmental policies and procedures and ensures the safety and well-being of both staff, visitors, and any external contractors.
* Other duties as directed.
Your working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 4pm
Friday 7.30am – 12.30pm
Variations to these hours and overtime may be asked of you dependent on business needs.
