We are an outstanding grammar school, for children of all genders, with outstanding provision for our young people. Our Vision is to pioneer a grammar school education which equips the visionaries of tomorrow.

We are looking for a well-rounded Attendance Officer for our school to communicate our key messages to parents, carers and staff.

A Raising Achievement Officer (Interventions Lead Attendance Officer) plays a vital role in ensuring student attendance. They meticulously monitor attendance records and identify trends and areas of concern. They are responsible for the statutory reporting for daily school attendance. They will liaise with the Medical Officer, Tutors, other RAO’s, Heads of Years and other external agencies.

For students with poor attendance, they craft individualised attendance plans and provide support and interventions. By promoting a positive school attendance culture, these officers aim to maximise student and family engagement and enhance educational outcomes.

As a Raising Achievement Officer (Interventions Lead Attendance Officer), you should empower and motivate students and families to prioritise attendance and act as an advocate for students and families who may be facing systemic barriers to attendance.

Applicants should also have an excellent knowledge of working in a school environment or with children and be able to build an excellent rapport with children and parents, carers and external agencies.

We can offer you:

* an outstanding school full of students who are committed to learning
* a welcoming team committed to staff well-being and professional development
* a vibrant community in which staff and students thrive through a commitment to academic study, a passion for creative arts, a drive for sporting endeavour and a devotion to championing personal development

We would like you to:

* fully commit to our Vision, Mission and Values (see above and below)
* fully commit to the safeguarding of all students and to inclusion
* have high expectations of yourself, and our students
* be committed to improving the life chances of young people from diverse backgrounds
* be willing to commit to life beyond the academic curriculum

For any enquiries relating to the position please contact the Trust’s Human Resources Team, either by email recruitment@insignis.org.uk or by telephone 01296 744351, who will be happy to help.

Closing date for applications: Monday 1st June 2026 at 12 Noon
