Please note: This role is Full Time 38.5hrs per week (12hr shifts with unpaid breaks) 3x on/3x off
As a Senior Care Assistant at De Brook Lodge, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our care. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining us, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
For you, it will mean planning and implementing care that gives our residents a sense of security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families, helping to ensure we deliver truly personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care and influencing the team positively. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, you’ll do so with kindness. You will also be involved in providing physical and mental stimulation through activities and administering medication.
One of your key responsibilities as a Senior Care Assistant is to maintain accurate records and build strong relationships within the team.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the procedures to follow if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training. You should also be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
