In this role, you will play a key part in oursupply chain and procurement operations, ensuring the timely availability of materials, equipment,plant, and tool hireneeded to meet project and production demands. You will be responsible forsupplier negotiations,inventory management, and maintainingstrong vendor relationshipsto support operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based onquality, cost, reliability, and delivery performance.
2. Negotiate contracts and purchase agreementsto secure favourable pricing, terms, and conditions.
3. Manage theprocurement and coordination of plant and tool hire, ensuring the right equipment is available when needed and returned efficiently after use.
4. Monitorinventory and hire levels, placing orders and scheduling returns to maintain optimal stock and resource availability.
5. Collaborate withinternal teams(production, logistics, and site management) to forecast demand and align procurement and hire plans.
6. Track and assesssupplier and hire company performance, addressing any quality, delivery, or service issues.
