A SENIOR PRACTITIONER opportunity for South Manchester Early Intervention in Psychosis service (2 days a week/ 3 months) has become available. This Band 7 post will support the Team Manager and Operational Manager in providing effective leadership support for a dedicated specialist community mental health team (an Early Intervention in Psychosis Team), developing and maintaining a high quality of service delivery, offering supervision and clinical support. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Band 6 with knowledge and clinical background supporting people with First Episode Psychosis looking to gain or develop experience in clinical leadership or management.
Provide leadership, supervision, support and consultation to professionals within the team, in line with relevant clinical pathway as outlined within the operational procedures. Additionally the post holder will act as lead representing their own profession in wider organisational forums.
Responsibilities
* Manage and evaluate a caseload in line with relevant clinical pathway as outlined within the operational procedure, including:
o Assessment
o Formulation
o Therapeutic intervention as required
o Signposting
o Close working with all colleagues
o Responsibility for a small complex caseload
o Contribution to Structured Clinical Management within the service
* Undertake line management responsibility for designated staff in the EIS.
* Deputise for the Team Manager / Senior Manager in his/her absence and take on any delegated management duties as required, including presence and contribution at designated SMT meetings.
