We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist all-through SEN school in Reading, supporting pupils from primary through to secondary age.
This is a long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for someone looking to build a meaningful and stable career within special education.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASC) and ADHD
* Work 1:1 and in small groups to support learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
* Help create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
* Support pupils with both academic and social development
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly autism and ADHD
* Is patient, resilient, and genuinely passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
* Can build positive relationships and remain calm in challenging situations
* Is reliable, committed, and keen to secure a permanent role in the future
* Has a proactive and flexible approach to supporting diverse needs
