Overview
Senior Occupational Therapist role at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT). We are recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join the Cambridge East Villages Community Rehabilitation Team based at Sawston Medical Practice, London Road, Sawston, Cambridge, CB22 3HU. The role is suitable for an experienced OT and is based in the East Cambridge and surrounding area. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing high quality rehabilitation to patients with physical disabilities in their home environment.
Essential requirements
Travel independently around the county to meet strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have use of a vehicle. Public transport is not suitable for this role as it would not meet service needs. Please confirm in your application that you meet these criteria.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work as an autonomous practitioner within the Community Rehab team, providing a high standard of care to our patients. Your role will include assessing, planning and developing specialist occupational therapy programmes for patients with a wide variety of complex needs. You will be responsible for your own caseload, prioritising referrals according to clinical need, signposting appropriately, and undertaking assessment of patients with complex and multiple pathologies using specialist clinical reasoning skills. Your role will also include supervision of junior staff and students, overseeing patient intervention and ensuring that Senior Therapy Assistants and Therapy Assistants deliver high quality patient care.
