Bid Writer Location: Oxford (hybrid) Salary: Competitive base salary The role of Bid Writer Trinity Fire & Security Systems are hiring a talented and driven Bid Writer to take the lead in crafting compelling, clear, and technically accurate written responses to a wide range of tender opportunities. Reporting to the Bid Manager, you’ll play a key role in developing high-quality submissions that reflect our brand, meet client expectations, and ensure full compliance with all requirements. This is a content-focused role that thrives on precision, creativity, and collaboration. You’ll work closely with subject matter experts across the business to turn complex information into persuasive, benefits-led content. Key Responsibilities Lead Bid Content Creation: Own the production of high-quality, tailored written responses for tenders, PQQs, RFQs, and ITTs, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging. Analyse Tenders & Shape Win Themes: Review tender documents to identify client priorities and evaluation criteria, using insights to inform persuasive, benefits-led responses. Helping drive bid win rates through persuasive, high-impact writing. Manage Bid Review & Collaboration: Oversee initial bid reviews and collaborate effectively with subject matter experts and bid teams to develop compelling, compliant submissions. Maintain Knowledge Library: Develop and update a central Bid Library, including case studies, boilerplate content, and policy documents reflecting best practices. Ensure Quality & Accuracy: Tailor and proofread content to meet bid-specific requirements, maintaining high standards of clarity, grammar, and professionalism. Support Handover & Compliance: Assist in post-submission feedback, bid handovers, and liaise with commercial teams on risk and compliance matters. Handle related administration and reporting. Essential Skills & Experience Exceptional written English with a proven ability to produce clear, persuasive, and accurate content. Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to interpret tender requirements and manage multiple deadlines. Excellent attention to detail, grammar, and formatting, ensuring high-quality submissions. Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience using online tender portals. Solid understanding of the tendering process (PQQs, ITTs, RFPs, frameworks) and experience writing in a commercial or bid environment. Desirable Attributes Background in the Fire & Security sector or a comparable technical/service-led industry. Understanding of relevant British Standards, industry regulations, and compliance frameworks. Awareness of Health & Safety documentation and processes (e.g., RAMS, accreditations).
