Job Overview: We are looking for Commissioning Officer. Responsibilities: To support delivery of Commissioning Strategies through multi-party Strategy Steering Groups. To lead on key commissioning projects related to portfolio area, on time and to budget and in accordance with the Commissioning Forward Plan. To ensure that good governance is adhered followed and that there is contractual compliance. To ensure that commissioning activity ensuring a co-production-focused approach with good internal partnerships and communication. To monitor progress against Strategic Action Plans and gather information to support annual progress updates to Cabinet. To work with health partners to support further the integration of health and social care pathways where relevant and improve outcomes and service delivery models. To recommend actions to Cabinet and the Strategic Commissioning Board and other governance bodies concerning the re-design of services and their costs, assisting the development of business and operational process improvements and a smarter use of market management information. To gather market and other intelligence, including the views of individuals and their unpaid carers, to identify service gaps and unmet needs, and inform the de-commissioning, redesign and commissioning of services within the relevant strategy. To work closely with providers across all sectors to develop productive relationships and to help stimulate the local market to offer services that are preventative and those that promote independence, choice, and control for a range of vulnerable individuals who need support. Adhere to the Market Position Statement. To develop positive relationships with the Quality Assurance Team and Contracts Team to ensure that that there is positive working across the whole team.
