Head of Year Teacher - Full time - start September 2026 UPS/MPS + TLR
The Governors and Executive Headteacher of The Federated Schools of Wood Street Infant School and Worplesdon Primary School would like to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and highly motivated full-time Head of Year teacher to join our team. We are looking for a highly motivated, caring and talented professional with proven skills as an excellent teacher to join our team at this successful and high attaining primary school.
This permanent full time position as a Head of Year teacher at the Federation is available to start in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity if you aspire for excellence and thrive on the challenge of providing the very best for children and the school team. This role is for KS2.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
1. Support whole-school strategy and improvement as part of the Senior Leadership Team
2. Report on subject performance, including successes and key issues
3. Help develop and deliver the School Development Plan with subject leaders
4. Lead and manage staff to ensure consistently high-quality teaching within your team
5. Agree and support pupil progress targets to contribute to whole-school achievement goals
6. Is an excellent practitioner with a proven track record of securing high standards of learning
7. Has high expectations of achievement and behaviour for all children
8. Has a good understanding of the development of children as confident, independent individuals
9. Is able to provide exciting, creative and inspiring learning experiences for every child in their care
10. Is confident and competent using IT
11. Is a team player who can demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
12. Is committed to high standards of personal and professional development
13. Is enthusiastic, ambitious and able to work with initiative
