We're seeking an experienced and proactive Ie Officer to join our Social Housing client on a temporary basis, for a minimum of 2-3 months. This is a 37 hour per week role, working on a hybrid basis, splitting your week between the office a minimum of 2 days, field-based tenant visits and working from home.
Key responsibilities:
1. Manage your own caseload of rent accounts, identifying residents at risk of tenancy failure and taking early action to prevent arrears escalation.
2. Carry out face-to-face tenant visits to discuss arrears and provide support, working collaboratively with internal teams to sustain tenancies.
3. Devise affordable payment plans to bring accounts up to date, and signpost to external money advice services where appropriate
4. Attend meetings with partner agencies (DWP, Local Authorities) to resolve benefit queries
5. Prepare reports and maintain accurate records in line with policies
6. Contribute to achieving ie collection targets andpliance standards
What you'll need to succeed
7. Proven experience in ie management or rent collection within social housing.
8. Strongmunication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
9. Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
10. Good knowledge of housing legislation, welfare reform, and best practice.
11. Full UK driving licence with business insurance (essential for travel).
