Overview
This job is with Turner & Townsend, a leading provider of project controls and advisory services. We are recruiting for a Senior Planner to join our Liverpool-based Infrastructure, Project Controls team, supporting projects across the energy, defence, rail, airports, highways, water and utilities sectors.
The Senior Planner will work as part of our Project Controls team on high-profile infrastructure projects, providing performance reporting and analysis support. This may be part of a large team or as the key day-to-day contact point with the client.
Responsibilities
* Work with cost and planning engineers to develop work breakdown structures and robust performance baselines.
* Establish progress and cost monitoring methods.
* Produce project control reports and provide performance analysis and recommendations for clients.
* Collaborate within a project controls environment across infrastructure sectors (Energy, Defence, Rail, Airports, Highways, Water / Utilities).
Qualifications
* Experience in a project controls environment within the infrastructure sector (Energy, Defence, Rail, Airports, Highways, Water / Utilities) is required.
* Experience in at least one of the following: Programme Controls Management, Earned Value (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, Project Controls and/or PMO.
* Degree educated; previous industry and sector experience is essential.
* Experience with tools (or in one of): Oracle Primavera, MS Project, Excel, PRISM (Cost Management System).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; rigorous in following documented processes and governance; able to innovate to meet changing project challenges.
* Current Security Clearance is ideal for candidates applying for Defence Sector Projects.
