Position Summary

As a Cyber Security Presales Consultant at Claranet, you will play a crucial role in translating customer requirements into clear, accurate, and deliverable solutions. Specializing in scoping client engagements, you will follow structured guidelines to create high-quality Statements of Work (SOWs). Over time, you will develop the confidence and capability to lead scoping calls directly with customers, understanding their needs and shaping tailored solutions in collaboration with our delivery teams.

Objectives and Key Results

* Create Accurate Statements of Work (SOWs): Follow prescribed scoping methodologies to create detailed and accurate SOWs across cyber security services
* Lead Scoping Calls: Develop the confidence and capability to independently lead scoping calls with customers, understanding their needs and shaping tailored solutions
* Collaborate with Technical Teams: Work closely with technical delivery teams to validate scoping accuracy and ensure client expectations are aligned with service capabilities
* Support Sales Team: Provide structured technical input during the pre-sales process, ensuring opportunities are scoped correctly from the outset.

Essential duties and responsibilities

* Follow prescribed scoping methodologies to create accurate and detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) across cyber security services.
* Participate in scoping calls with customers, initially shadowing senior consultants and gradually developing to independently lead discussions.
* Collaborate with technical delivery teams to validate scoping accuracy and ensure client expectations are aligned with service capabilities.
* Work closely with the Sales Team to provide structured technical input during the pre-sales process, ensuring opportunities are scoped correctly from the outset.

Teams to collaborate with

* Offensive Security Delivery Team: You will work closely with this team to accurately scope and define penetration tests based on client requirements. This collaboration ensures our technical solutions align with clients' needs.
* Continuous Security Team: Delivery Team of our Continuous Security Service
* Sales Team: Working in tandem with our Sales Team is crucial in identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new business opportunities. Your partnership will help drive the company's revenue growth.
* Project Management Office (PMO): Collaborating with the PMO will ensure smooth operation and execution of projects, from scoping to completion.
* Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Delivery Team: Cooperation with the GRC team is key in understanding and communicating the regulatory and compliance aspects of our services, enabling you to articulate this effectively to our clients.

* Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce structured, detailed, and accurate documentation (SOWs, proposals).· Ability to learn and apply structured frameworks and guidelines consistently.
* Developing confidence in customer-facing communication - able to listen actively, capture requirements, and play them back clearly.
* Analytical mindset to break down complex customer requirements into practical, deliverable solutions.
* Collaborative approach to working with Sales, Delivery, and PMO teams.

Desirable

* Familiarity with cyber security services (penetration testing, GRC, MDR/EDR, etc.).
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role or technical documentation role (even at graduate/entry level).
* An interest in progressing toward a consultative presales, solutions architecture or penetration testing career path.
