Job Title: Housing Capital Projects Compliance Manager

Rate: £350–£400 per day

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Housing Capital Projects Compliance Manager to oversee a team of surveyors and compliance specialists, managing a £15–18m capital programme for local authority housing. This role is pivotal in ensuring all projects meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards, while driving effective delivery and compliance across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of surveyors and compliance specialists, ensuring high standards of performance and delivery.
* Oversee the £15–18m capital programme, monitoring progress, budgets, and compliance with all relevant housing regulations and standards.
* Ensure all projects adhere to the Decent Homes Standard, HHSRS, building safety, and other statutory requirements.
* Develop and implement compliance strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure best practice.
* Act as the main point of contact for compliance-related queries, providing expert advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
* Prepare and present reports on compliance performance, project progress, and risk management to senior leadership.
Requirements:
* Significant experience in housing capital projects, with a strong focus on compliance and regulatory standards.
* Proven track record of managing large-scale capital programmes and teams within the social housing or local authority sector.
* In-depth knowledge of housing legislation, including the Decent Homes Standard, HHSRS, and building safety regulations.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience in risk management, audit, and performance reporting.
* Relevant professional qualifications in housing, construction, or compliance are highly desirable.
