Salary Grade D Points 6 to 8 (£25,183 to £25,992 Full Time Equivalent) subject to pro rata. The minimum actual pro rata salary per annum for this job starts at £17,640.27.
The Laurel Academy are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our academy in September 2025 on a part time, permanent basis.

Your new role
As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. You may carry out work in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

Your new school
The Laurel Academy is an 11 to 16 Academy of 800 pupils serving the town of Mexborough and its surrounding area. The Laurel has a rich history within the town since it was established in 1904 and has numerous notable alumni including Poet Laureate Ted Hughes. Mexborough is an ex mining town with a strong sense of community and some wonderful pupils.
