About the role
CareCrew Ltd is launching a domiciliary care service in England. We're seeking an experienced consultant to lead our CQC provider & Registered Manager registration and support early-stage recruitment and compliance setup.
Key responsibilities
* Lead end-to-end CQC registration for the provider (and RM application).
* Prepare & submit all required documentation: Statement of Purpose, Service User Guide, Business Plan, Financial Viability, governance/organogram, policies & procedures (safeguarding, MCA/DoLS, safer recruitment, medicines, IPC, complaints, data protection, QA/audit, H&S/RA, continuity).
* Coach and prep for the Registered Manager interview; liaise with CQC until registration is granted.
* Advise on regulated activity (e.g., Personal Care) and location setup.
* Optional add-on: early recruitment (care staff, coordinators, field supervisors), compliance checks, onboarding templates, induction plan.
Deliverables
* Submission-ready CQC applications (provider & RM) with all evidence.
* Editable policy/governance pack branded for CareCrew.
* RM interview prep notes and mock interview.
* A concise implementation checklist to first inspection readiness.
Payment & milestones (fixed fee £4,000)
* £1,000 on engagement (kick-off)
* £1,500 on submission (provider + RM applications)
* £1,500 on registration/licence granted
Reasonable pre-approved travel expenses reimbursed. Any extra scope (e.g., extended recruitment or additional site visits) to be agreed separately.What we're looking for
Essential
* Proven track record of successful CQC registrations for domiciliary/homecare providers in England.
* Strong policy writing aligned to KLOEs/Single Assessment Framework.
* Experience coaching candidates for RM interviews and handling inspector queries.
* Up-to-date knowledge of safer recruitment, DBS, Right to Work, training compliance.
Desirable
* Ability to step into the Registered Manager role post-registration.
* Experience setting up QA, incident reporting, supervision/appraisal, rota systems for go-live.
