This is a full‑time role, working 40 hours across 5 days with a share in the 1 in 8 on call and weekend rota. We can also consider part‑time, flexible applications – just let us know what works for you.
Ambivet Vets is a well‑established group of six practices across Derbyshire with over 90 team members, offering a supportive network of clinics located in well‑connected towns with easy access to major road links, nearby cities such as Derby and Nottingham, and the beautiful Peak District close by. Your main practice would be based at Ripley but some shifts at Heanor Hospital may be required; they are located 35 minutes away from East Midlands airport, allowing for easy international travel.
Our facilities include a visiting CT scanner, digital X‑ray, dental X‑ray, ultrasound, endoscopy set up, and laparoscopy instruments, giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care. The practice prides itself on keeping cases in‑house wherever possible, with overnight hospitalisation enabling excellent case continuity, a familiar team for clients, and a high‑quality, consistent out‑of‑hours service.

This role will involve providing on‑call support to new graduate vets and would ideally suit someone who is interested in working as part of a wider team.
