In keeping with our expansion plans at our Plymouth based hospital, we are soon to be launching our Sterile Services (CSSD) department enabling us to deliver an ever more swifter service to our patients.

We have a brand new position available for a Sterile Services Technician to support the Sterile Services Department Lead and ensure a continuously compliant, safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service.
This is a permanent position
Working Monday to Friday – with 1 Saturday shift in 3.
Hours based on two shift patterns; Early – 07:30-15:30, Late – 11:00-19:00.
What you'll be doing
A Sterile Services Technician is required to be a vital member of the team, working to support the Sterile Services Department Lead and Theatre Manager in the provision of a safe and effective decontamination and sterile supplies service to the required departments within our hospital.
You’ll be ensuring that every medical device is prepared fit for the purpose prior to patient use and undertaking tasks involved with the decontamination process i.e. cleaning, checking, packing, assembling, sterilising and distribution of medical devices.
What we’ll look for in you
* Being able to competently prioritise workload and meet work to deadlines
* Having the ability to lead and support Technicians ensuring all areas of the department is covered on shift
* Confidence to competently communicate with other departments where necessary
* Highlight and report breakdowns in a timely mannerTo ultimately support the Decontamination Manager as required
