* 37 hours per week*, 52 weeks per year - Permanent
* Full time salary: £32,205 - £36,084 (Dependent on qualifications and experience - part time salary will be dependent on contracted hours)

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about using their knowledge and skills to coach and mentor the next generation of apprentices. This is an exciting opportunity to become an Apprenticeship Assessor within the Strategic Growth and Partnerships Apprenticeship Team at West Suffolk College.
The successful candidate must hold an NVQ Level 3 Plumbing and Heating qualification (or equivalent) or be certified in Core Domestic Natural Gas Safety and Appliances (CCN1). You will also have at least two years of industry experience.
Previous experience of coaching and mentoring others would be an advantage. Most importantly, you will be a confident communicator, eager to use your expertise to support and guide learners through their apprenticeship journey.
In this role, you will manage an agreed caseload of apprenticeship students, supporting the assessment of their plumbing and gas installation and maintenance competencies. Working closely with employers, you will help develop students skills, knowledge, and behaviours through one-to-one guidance, ensuring they receive high-quality training and are well-prepared for their End Point Assessment.
You will play a key role in our mission to deliver outstanding apprenticeship provision by contributing directly to learner success and supporting local workforce development.
Qualifications and Experience
Required:
* NVQ Level 3 Plumbing and Heating qualification (or equivalent) or CCN1 qualification.
* At least two years of industry experience.
Preferred:
* Experience of coaching or mentoring apprentices.
* Teaching or tutoring experience.
