The Children in Care and Care Leavers Children's Commissioning team plays a central role in commissioning core services for Children and Young People, including Children's homes, fostering provision and engagement and participation services, The Role As a Commissioning Officer, you’ll support the design, delivery and improvement of services for children, young people and families. You’ll lead on engagement, gather and analyse intelligence, and contribute to commissioning strategies that drive value for money and better outcomes. You’ll be a proactive, creative thinker with strong communication skills and a passion for co-production and social value This position will be subject to a enhanced criminal record disclosure check. Working Pattern: The post is a full time post, 37 hours a week Monday to Friday. What you’ll need to succeed: To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong analytical, organisational and communication skills to research needs, develop commissioning plans and manage contracts effectively. You must be confident working independently, solving complex problems creatively, and collaborating with partners, providers and service users. A solid understanding of commissioning processes, performance monitoring, and the education/health/care landscape is essential to ensure high‑quality services and positive outcomes for children and young people.
