Though not responsible for managing a large team, you may commission professional support from other teams, services, and external partners. What the Job Involves Your role revolves around leading a significant strategic project within the council, specifically dealing with the High Needs Block (HNB) Sustainability. You will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing a five-year strategy to address the HNB deficit and align SEND service improvement strategies. Your tasks include developing financial performance management processes, governance arrangements, and an evidence-led approach to financial pressure identification. You will work closely with senior officers to provide strategic financial advice and participate in forums to identify and disseminate good financial management practices.
