Programme management office (pmo) manager

Programme manager
€60,000 a year

Offer description

We're seeking an experienced PMO Manager to provide robust, risk‑based governance and drive consistent, high‑quality programme delivery across a strategically significant portfolio. You'll set the standards for how schemes are identified, planned, tracked and reported—ensuring benefits are realised while safeguarding patient and staff safety and the quality of service provision.

Working in a matrix environment, you will partner with executive, clinical, operational and corporate leaders to maintain a standardised governance framework, embed clear processes, templates and reporting, surface quality impact and delivery risks early, and raise any concerns appropriately. You will also work closely with Analytics and Insights to use data to identify opportunities and demonstrate impact.

If you bring excellent facilitation and negotiation skills, strong programme leadership, a "can‑do" approach, and a sound understanding of NHS finance, we'd love to hear from you—safe, kind and excellent in all you do.

Responsibilities

* Provide and oversee an effective, standardised risk‑based governance framework for the productivity and efficiency programme.
* Provide standardised documents and clear processes to support divisions and directorates to identify, plan, report and deliver productivity and efficiency schemes.
* Provide accurate and timely reporting of the development and delivery of productivity and efficiency schemes, and identification of associated quality impact or delivery risks.
* Provide timely and appropriate escalation of emerging or actual concerns in respect of patient and staff safety, the quality‑of‑service provision and the deliverability of related schemes.
* Help shape how the Trust delivers productivity and efficiency—improving access to care by reducing unwarranted variation and removing unnecessary activity across inpatient and outpatient pathways, and across corporate and administrative processes.

Qualifications

* Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills.
* Strong programme leadership experience.
* "Can‑do" approach.
* Sound understanding of NHS finance.

Equal Opportunity

CUH is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community—a place where we can all be ourselves. We value our differences and fully advocate and support an inclusive working environment where every individual can fulfil their potential. We welcome applications for all positions in the organisation irrespective of people’s age, disability, ethnicity, race, nationality, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, religion or belief, marriage and civil partnership status, or pregnancy and maternity status or socio‑economic background.
