Job Title: HGV/PCV Mechanical Technician Location: Leicester, Leicestershire Pay Rate: £39,780 – £49,140 per annum dependent on experience Shifts: 45 hours per week Monday – Friday (Saturdays optional) Hours: 07:30am – 16:30pm (can be flexible) Role: Temporary to permanent (after 12 weeks for the successful candidate) Industria Personnel Services LTD are looking for a reliable HGV/PCV Mechanic, to work with one of our clients based in Leicester. Our client is a leading transport service provider. They are a Leicester based family run business They have a fleet of almost 50 coaches including Scania’s, DAF, MAN and Mercedes. In addition to the above a PCV or HGV licence would also be a great advantage, but licence categories can be gained with our in-house training. The successful candidate would be working alongside a team of 12 other technicians to keep our fleet of almost 50 coaches in good condition, in service and maintained to the highest standard. The role is varied as we also carry out external work on coaches, trucks, ambulances, cars, vans and camper vans. Duties for the HGV/PCV Mechanic: * Carrying out and assisting with safety inspections and servicing, * providing routine maintenance, * replacing and diagnosing major engine faults/repairs, * annual Mot preparation and presenting for test, * defect and repair rectification, * fleet support at the roadside * general housekeeping duties within the depot The successful HGV/PCV Mechanic will be required to have: * You will have previous experience working as an HGV Technician / Mechanic within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car or an associated sector. * Skills to follow company processes for completing all paperwork including accurate completion of job cards and service records. * General level of computer literacy is advantageous. * Ideally have a qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. * Ability to participate in breakdowns. * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair * A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience * Full HGV licence and full UK driving licence required * Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a team-focused attitude Job salary and benefits for the HGV/PCV Mechanic: * Competitive salary, dependent on experience and availability, * £39,780 for candidates with basic experience or entry-level qualifications * £44,460 for candidates with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience * £49.140 for candidates with over 5 years’ experience and/or specific certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, CSCS card) * 45 hours per week * Monday – Friday (Saturdays optional), * staff days out & events, * Health cover (after 12 months service), * performance related bonus (dependent on company’s profits), * holiday sacrifice options for additional holiday, pension, * discounts on car repairs, * plus 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
