The Member Support team is responsible for: Supporting the Leader, Cabinet and all members of the Council and reporting to the Head of the Ruling Group Office in the organisation of their work. Providing and maintaining a professional and high quality personal and administrative support service. Supporting the Leader, Cabinet and all members of the Council, Council staff and the public daily to exchange information around issues or projects. Liaising with staff across the City Council, other organisations and stakeholders including members of the public. You will have a professional, friendly and polite manner. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and work with a high level of accuracy. You will have a positive and flexible approach and you will be organised with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team. IT skills to support working with a range of IT packages will be key. The apprentice role is a support role which can provide an opportunity for career development within Member Services. You will be provided with office-based training and support and can undertake relevant professional qualifications as part of your career development. 18-month fixed term apprenticeship working in a supported environment to develop skills and knowledge whilst undertaking the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship. Working alongside an experienced team you will ensure all procedures, audit requirements, standing orders and systems are adhered to and service information recorded on appropriate ICT systems within agreed timescales Carry out administrative functions.
