Location : Longmore House with hybrid working

Working Hours : Monday Friday 35 hours per week with occasional evening or weekend work may be required

Key Responsibilities of this role

The key responsibilities duties and objectives of the role include :

Business Improvement :

* Management of the Business Delivery Framework including the Standards Knowledge & Skills and Oversight & Improvement programmes.
* Lead the Standards programme to align our operations practice with our business standards and support delivery of relevant KPIs : initially lead development of the Visitor & Community Management Standards Group engaging with operations and business managers at regular and ad hoc meetings.
* As part of the Knowledge & Skills programme oversee the Know Your Stuff initiative and liaise with core stakeholders to ensure it continues to meet stated aims.
* As part of the Oversight and Improvement programme : lead the commercial site visit programme manage the scheduling of the programme across our staffed visitor locations; conduct and review audits; work with Operations & business colleagues to develop improved and integrated site visit methodologies questionnaires reporting and improvement delivery.
* For all areas of the framework act as liaison and commercial representative to promote alignment streamlining and efficiency and prioritise business delivery.
* Identify trends gaps and opportunities in our business process and delivery; identify develop and deliver strategies to deliver improvements. Provide support to all relevant colleagues in the delivery of change and improvement actions.

Compliance :

* Lead commercial compliance and security requirements including income management stock management and loss prevention as well as regulatory best practice or HES business standards. Ensure there exists appropriate guidance templates and support to meet standards. Work with all relevant colleagues to ensure we understand the scope of our business and meet current requirements.
* Manage the retail stock control programme ensure participation assess and report results and work with Retail Team on delivery of strategies to support delivery of relevant KPIs. Where required or requested assess governance and control processes to identify risk and weakness and conduct audits of practice.
* Represent the directorate on any relevant groups including acting as a directorate Security Champion and Risk Champion. Liaise with directorate risk manager and Internal Audit Team as necessary to report compliance status and understand new and changed requirements.
* Lead on compliance with PCI DSS regulations for the physical payment terminal estate and all users.
* Provide support guidance coaching and training within the Compliance remit to any affected colleagues whether raising or fielding requests.

Other :

* Manage the G4S contract and other cash conveyance solutions to ensure adequate provision of cash at all locations and effective and safe transit of cash to and from all locations.
* Oversee primary investigation of all reported commercial fraud or malpractice most often relating to income or retail stock.
* Report on all areas of responsibility as necessary or requested.
* Line management of the Compliance Officer


Key requirements of the role :
