As a Cleaner at the College of Policing, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across a large and diverse site. This includes office spaces, training facilities, and accommodation buildings. Your role is essential in ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for staff, trainees, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform daily cleaning duties across designated areas including offices, classrooms, communal areas, and residential accommodation.
* Work collaboratively with a team of cleaners to ensure the entire site remains clean and presentable at all times.
* Follow cleaning schedules and protocols, including deep cleaning routines and infection control measures.
* Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.
* Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the Facilities Manager promptly.
* Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
* Support special cleaning tasks during events, inspections, or seasonal changes.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in commercial or institutional cleaning is desirable.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good attention to detail and time management.
* Understanding of COSHH and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
* Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required.
Work Environment
* Large, multi-building site including office blocks, training areas, and residential accommodation.
