We are looking for a proactive and organised Raw Materials Stock Controller to join our Operations team on Night Shift. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the accurate management, control, and availability of raw materials to support uninterrupted production operations. You will play an important part in maintaining stock accuracy, minimising waste, supporting food safety standards, and ensuring customers receive material that meets specification requirements. Shift Pattern Sunday Thursday 18:45 Finish The Role The Raw Materials Stock Controller is responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling the movement and storage of raw materials across site operations. Working closely with Production, Procurement, and Warehouse teams, you will ensure stock integrity, accurate reporting, and compliance with inventory, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate stock records through ERP/WMS systems and physical stock checks Monitor raw material usage and reconcile stock variances between system and physical inventory Ensure correct storage, labelling, and segregation of materials in line with safety, quality, and FIFO requirements Carry out cycle counts and periodic stock takes, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions Produce and submit daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports Coordinate with procurement and production teams to maintain appropriate stock levels Identify slow-moving, excess, or obsolete materials and recommend appropriate actions Monitor secondary materials to ensure opportunities are maximised for designated customers Carry out physical quality checks to ensure customers receive in spec material Promote and maintain HSE compliance and 5S warehouse standards Support internal and external audits relating to raw material management Skills & Experience Essential Strong leadership skills Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel People management skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills General Responsibilities Follow all Health & Safety and Hygiene procedures at all times Demonstrate a strong commitment to Food Safety Culture by supporting safe working practices and reporting any food safety concerns Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management Use time and resources effectively and economically Take responsibility for personal development and training What Were Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Highly organised and accurate Comfortable working with stock systems and data Confident leading and supporting teams Driven to improve processes and reduce waste Committed to maintaining high operational and food safety standards You will receive: Company sick pay Transport available from the city centre Opportunity for overtime and overtime bonuses Life assurance cover Critical illness cover Health and well-being initiatives Free potatoes Continuous training Free onsite parking Career development opportunities
