We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Payroll and Data Administrator to join our team, supporting the smooth and accurate delivery of payroll and people data services. Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll is processed efficiently and in line with statutory requirements, while maintaining the integrity of employee data across our systems.
This is a varied role that combines payroll processing, compliance, pensions administration, and data management. You will be responsible for handling payroll inputs, responding to colleague queries, and producing reports, as well as supporting financial reconciliations and ensuring compliance with HMRC and pension regulations.
The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality. You will also have the opportunity to deputise for the Payroll Manager and contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll and HR systems and processes.

Qualifications
* Proven experience in payroll administration.
* Strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, and HMRC requirements.
* Experience with payroll software (e.g., Civica).
* Understanding of statutory payments and auto‑enrolment pensions.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Intermediate to advanced ability with Excel.
* Experience working in an educational or independent school environment.
* Knowledge of Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) and other pension schemes.
* Familiarity with term‑time working calculations.
