Fabricator (trainee roles also available)
SureStaffing UK Ltd are looking to recruit Plastic Fabricators for our client based in Hebburn near Newcastle. Our client, is one of the UK's leading plastic engineering companies. The company prides itself on its supportive team culture and collaborative working environment.
This is temp to perm role.
Training can be provided for the right candidate, but the technical experience (for example in joinery) and ability to use hand tools, drills, or jigsaws is required.
Ideal candidate for a Fabricator role will have:
* Hands-on experience with plastic fabrication and hand tools
* Knowledge of gluing and bonding techniques
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job sheets
* Strong attention to detail and quality standards
* Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities and Duties of a Fabricator:
* Use hand tools and plastic materials to fabricate products according to job specifications
* Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality compliance
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings to produce tailored solutions
* Evaluate feasibility and lead times for customer requests
* Suggest and implement fabrication improvements to increase efficiency
* Identify and correct production defects as they arise
* Perform routine maintenance of fabrication equipment
* Follow health and safety protocols and workplace standards
* Communicate clearly with colleagues to maintain smooth operations
* Any other duties as required by the Fabrication Manager or Directors
Shift Times for a Fabricator:
* 8-hour shifts (38 h/week)
* Overtime available
Pay Rates for Fabricator:
* £12.21 - £13.00 / hour (depending on experience)
