About the role
Reporting to the Regional Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and executing strategic initiatives to enhance store performance and profitability by continually challenging current ways of working. Store Managers should foster a culture of innovation and openness to new ideas.
2. Listening and responding to customer and colleague feedback, ensuring their experience is central to decision-making.
3. Cultivating a high-performance culture through talent development, succession planning, and supportive leadership.
4. Working with Head Office teams to ensure optimal product availability, making Morrisons a one-stop shopping destination.
5. Building and managing relationships with the local community, marketing your store to stand out as a community pillar.
Experience managing a store in a fast-paced food retail environment is essential. Strong leadership skills, coaching ability, talent spotting, and creating a team-oriented culture are crucial. You should be adept at resolving challenges, building trust, setting clear objectives aligned with Morrisons' priorities, and fostering collaboration and diversity within your team.
