Day Shift Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased)

Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site premises and machinery. Working alongside a dedicated team, you will be responsible for maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to drive efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities:
1. Operate and maintain plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
2. Conduct daily maintenance checks to ensure equipment is operational and safe.
3. Uphold high standards of housekeeping to promote a safe and organized work environment.
4. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in quality, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
5. Provide support to production teams, assisting with machinery setups and troubleshooting.
6. Conduct fault finding and diagnostics to resolve electrical issues promptly.
7. Adhere to planned preventive maintenance schedules and accurately record follow-up tasks.
8. Uphold the integrity of the company through positive actions and attitude at all times.
Qualifications:
Education: BTEC/C&G in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
Training: 18th Edition training is advantageous.
Experience: Post-apprenticeship experience in food manufacturing or related industry preferred. Proven experience in a similar maintenance role is essential.
Skills: Competency in electrical work, with a focus on safety. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Attention to detail, commitment, and a sense of responsibility are essential.
