We are expanding our consultant network to provide commercial expertise within a Defence Clients Air Command.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support Air Commercial teams with procurement and contract management activity across requirements valued up to £20M. The role will involve working with both the Define & Procure Team (supporting pre-sourcing and sourcing activities) and the Contract Performance & Management Team (supporting the day-to-day management of complex, higher-value contracts).
Key Responsibilities
* Support the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including:
o Assisting customers with requirements definition (Statements of Requirement, KPIs).
o Producing Commercial Strategy and Procurement Strategy documents.
o Identifying routes to market and drafting tender documentation.
o Advertising requirements, managing tenders, evaluation and contract award.
* Provide contract management support, including:
o Processing contract amendments and negotiating with suppliers.
o Managing supplier relationships and monitoring contract performance.
o Supporting management information capture and reporting.
* Engage with stakeholders across HQ Air Command to progress pipeline requirements from initiation to award and through-life management.
* Undertake training on procurement systems such as CP&F and DSP as required.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience running procurement activities for defence or public sector requirements, ideally below £20M in value.
* Through-life commercial experience covering requirement setting, competitive tendering, contract documentation, and award.
* Experience managing complex and high-value contracts, including negotiation and supplier management.
* Ability to engage effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and customers.
* Existing SC Clearance and UK Sole National status are essential.
