Overview of the role
The Senior Social Care Worker provides support and guidance to a team of social care workers, leading by example. You liaise with seniors in the home, report matters of concern, and facilitate safe, happy and fulfilling lives for residents. Experience in the care sector and a willingness to learn are required.
Key duties
* Take the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
* Supervise a team and assist with overall management of the home
* Liaise with managers and other shift leaders
* Execute tasks allocated in a professional, timely manner
* వో supervise and share mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food
* Assist residents in their daily activities both in and away from the home
* Use initiative when supporting residents during activities and day‑to‑day tasks
