We are seeking a proactive and reliable Site Assistant to oversee the safety, security, and maintenance of Priory Primary School, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and the Office Manager.
Key responsibilities include ensuring the school grounds are well maintained, handling basic building repairs, managing cleaning duties, liaising with contractors and suppliers, and taking charge of site operations, including opening and closing the site and managing lettings during peak times or in the absence of the Site Manager. Flexibility for working hours and short‑notice changes to accommodate business needs is required.

* Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in maintaining a safe and clean environment
* Has basic maintenance and DIY skills, enabling minor repairs
* Can work independently and manage workload effectively
* Demonstrates a proactive and flexible approach to daily tasks
* Possesses strong communication skills and can liaise confidently with staff, contractors, and visitors
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Is willing to be flexible with working hours, including opening/closing the site when required
* Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to the school community
Salary: £13,403 per annum (20 hours, AYR contract). Salary: £21,445 per annum (32 hours including cleaning duties, AYR contract).
