Join to apply for the One Stop - Customer Service Assistant role at One Stop Stores Ltd. We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance. As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on the job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.


Responsibilities

* Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride, providing great natural service.
* Actively encourage customers to provide feedback on their shopping trip through completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to ensure tasks are completed to meet customer needs.
* Apply the training received to work safely and comply with store procedures.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
* Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand the part played to deliver profit.
* Demonstrate values, make everyone feel welcome and follow store policies.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay for hours worked.
* Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available to keep staff and customers safe.
* Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and organized store, keeping aisles clear of congestion.
* May be responsible for running the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader and Store Manager at certain times.
* Follow all training to keep self, others and the store safe and compliant.
* If applicable, duties will include day-to-day Post Office Local operations and related background checks, which must be passed to proceed with the role. If checks fail, the offer may be withdrawn.
