An excellent opportunity has arisen for a for a committed team member with technical understanding who is eager to grow in the fields of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE). As our new HSE Officer, you will take responsibility for these important areas – supported by the Quality team.

Responsibilities include:
* Promoting a positive health, safety, and environmental culture across the organisation with an emphasis on sustainability
* Developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies and processes in line with legal requirements
* Conducting risk assessments and site inspections, deriving and implementing improvement measures
* Acting as Environmental Representative in accordance with ISO 14001:2015, ensuring compliance and continual improvement of the environmental management system
* Leading and supporting internal and external HSE audits
* Delivering safety-related training for employees and managers
* Recording and analysing incidents, accidents, and HSE KPIs, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed
* Supporting the safe installation of equipment and the proper disposal of hazardous materials
* Providing guidance on specialised topics such as fire protection, machine safety, hazardous substances, noise, and occupational illnesses
* Collaborating with Facility Management, the canteen, and external service providers to ensure compliance with safety standards
* Monitoring legal developments and proactively advising the management team
Our perfect HSE Officer would have:
* A strong sense of responsibility and initiative
* Professional experience in a similar role, ideally in a production environment
* A positive mindset and a structured, self-driven way of working
* Excellent communication skills and confidence in delivering training
* Team spirit, assertiveness, and professionalism at all levels
* High safety, quality and environmental awareness with a real desire to continually improve processes
* Well organised and efficient with a hands-on approach
* The ability to stay focused under pressure and prioritize effectively
* Willingness to work towards a relevant and up to date NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent) is essential.
* Self-awareness to identify areas for personal development.
Qualifications/Experience
* NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification – ideally possessed
* Solid knowledge of the requirements according to ISO 14001:2015 – ideally possessed
* Proficient in MS Office and experienced in analysing HSE data

Monday to Thursday, 7.30am - 4.15pm. Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm
