Description
The Head of Transport will
* Review, develop and implement strategies to optimise the transport operations covering processes, systems, and team
* Manage and lead the transport team, ensuring clear communication and raising operational and financial performance
* Ensure all operations adhere to health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with internal departments, specifically warehouse operations to meet / exceed client expectations
* Build and develop reporting to aid efficient business decisions
* Support investment decisions to build the national network
Profile
A successful Head of Transport should have
* Proven experience in the development of a transport network
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and regulations.
* Ability to analyse data and implement cost-effective solutions.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ideally, experience of TMS implementation
