Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement secure DevSecOps practices across cloud-based environments (Azure or AWS).
* Build and maintain PostgreSQL clusters for high performance and availability.
* Automate infrastructure deployment and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep.
* Embed vulnerability scanning, policy enforcement, and secrets management into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
* Work closely with software, cloud, and security teams to ensure end-to-end compliance and resilience.
* Support continuous monitoring, logging, and alerting processes (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Required Experience
* Strong background in DevSecOps / Cloud Security Engineering.
* Proven hands-on experience with PostgreSQL administration and optimisation.
* Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar).
* CI/CD pipeline engineering with built-in security and compliance checks.
* Solid grasp of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and secrets management tools.
* Familiarity with network security, identity management, and zero-trust principles.
* Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Azure and/or AWS environments.
* Exposure to ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials+, or SOC2 standards.
* Certifications such as CKA, AZ-400, AWS DevOps Engineer, or Security+.
